Current Status
The Valley Gardens Skateboard/BMX Park started construction on 22nd Feb 2011 and opened on 23rd May. A Grand Opening celebration was held on 28th May. The agenda for the Event was as follows:

1pm - - - Official opening by Mayor of Harrogate
1.30pm 2pm - - - Skate comp in jam format (DJ and commentary) – Prize donated by Popcorn Skate of Northallerton
2pm – 2.30pm - - - Scooter comp in jam format (DJ and commentary) – Prize donated by Popcorn Skate of Northallerton
2.30pm – 3pm - - - BMX comp in jam format (DJ and commentary) – Prize tbc
3pm – 3.30pm - - - Finalist jam/Best Trick comp (DJ) – Weekend Relentless Energy NASS tickets for winner of Best Trick
3.30pm – 5pm - - - Open Jam
