Friends of Valley Gardens President, Martin Fish
Martin Fish is a professional gardener, writer, and broadcaster with more than 30 years in the industry. He went into horticulture as an apprentice in the Newark Parks Department before full-time training in horticulture at Brackenhust College, Southwell. He is a prolific writer on all things horticultural, with television and radio credits to his name including “Simply Gardening” for ITV as well as programmes for BBC television and radio. He is a past President of the North of England Horticultural Society and a past Director of the Harrogate Flower Shows.
In January 2014 he decided to return to the roots of gardening by developing his own garden, writing and broadcasting about gardening and establishing a Garden Advisory Service. Martin continues to judge for Yorkshire in Bloom and he is still active on the gardening show circuit. Please visit his web site here.
